It doesn't matter how fast you are, how far you've ridden, or what you're wearing. If you're bringing good vibes, you're one of us.
How the day runs
Start line energy
Meet from 7:30am. Grab a coffee, catch the briefing, soak up the buzz.
Wheels down
Staggered starts from 8:00am, everyone on the road by 9:30am. Follow the route we send.
Cruise your way
No rush, no pressure. Ride at your own pace, with your crew or solo.
Victory lap
Roll into Brighton for pints, music, food, and a crowd ready to celebrate with you.
Homeward bound
Train back to London whenever you're ready. Cycle home if you're feeling heroic.
The questions
Do I need to be a really good cyclist to join?
No. The ride is mainly self-guided with some spots on guided rides for less experienced riders. You should be confident cycling for several hours, but take as many breaks as you need. There's no race to the finish line.
Can I come solo?
Of course. Riders join in groups or solo — you'll make plenty of friends along the way. Ditchling Beacon has a habit of forging strong bonds.
Will you help if I get a puncture?
This is a self-guided ride, so you'll need to be able to manage your own mechanical issues. Get a full service done before the big day.
Do you offer group discounts?
Get in touch for large group bookings.
What do I need to bring?
Your own bike and helmet. Bring snacks to keep fuelled. You'll need your phone or GPS device for the route, and your ticket to show at the start.
Can I bring my bike back on the train?
Most Southern and Thameslink services from Brighton allow bikes outside peak hours — space isn't guaranteed though, so get to the station in good time if you're planning to ride the train home with your bike.
